Sheepcote
A cold but lovely day. I went into Halstead in the morning and did some successful shopping. In the afternoon Wilma and I worked in the rose garden which badly needs attention.
After tea Bets and I went down to our store in the cellar, and collected a proportion for her to take with her to Wenham.
Later on Enid rang up to say that Mabel's "blood count" had been taken and the report was splendid - 80% of normal.
I rang up Pips and said we should be very glad to have Oswald for a couple of nights next week if he cared to come.
