Sheepcote
Another lovely day. Grattan turned up for lunch. We had tea out of doors. In the evening Squadron Leader and Mrs Dawson came over from Stokes for supper.
We had our first dishes of new potatoes - also asparagus, gooseberry fool, etc. etc.
Pippa rang up in the evening to say that she was afraid James had got measles, and that her visit here must be cancelled but it is not yet certain.
Grattan engrossed in Forrester's new book - The Ship.
