Sheepcote
A rather unsettled looking morning for the WI party but it tuned into a lovely afternoon.
Nearly 50 for tea and everyone seemed happy. Mrs Ashley Ripper and I were joint hostesses. We had a terrible lot of business and a rather uninteresting demonstration of glove making.
Then tea on the lawn and then singing in the drawing room. Anne, Sarah and nanny turned up just as the party was dispersing. They all look splendid and Sarah much grown in the 5 days they have been at Wenham.
