Sheepcote

Terrifically hot.

Mrs Foyster left 2 lovely rabbits for us in the morning and we asked her and Marjorie Mathis to come and sample one of them at supper, which they did.

In the afternoon there was a wire from Lady Fyfe to say Margaret has had a son.

Just before 10 o’clock there was a violent thunderstorm – the biggest I remember for some years. It lasted till well after midnight. Sarah was out in her pram till just before it started.

Pips rang up from Lyd. All well.
