Sheepcote

Same sort of unsettled weather, but turned into a lovely sunny evening.

We were all busy in the morning, getting everything ready for the Capel-Dunns’ departure.

They left by the 2.20 train  and I saw them off. Mrs Rulton and her two children met us at the station as Bet has invited them to spend a couple of nights at Wenham. So the party consisted of 7 humans and a dog, and a lot of extra packages which they had accumulated here.

The house feels very quiet and empty without them.

Grattan went up to town by usual early train.
