Another golden autumn day. I met Alice at Liverpool St and took her to Marylebone station (we had ices on the way) and put her into a train for Aylesbury where Hester was meeting her. I provided her with a good picnic lunch. Sat in the garden after tea and read the Olivier biographies. At 7 o'clock Bram rang up to say he was crossing to France tonight and we arranged that he and Yvonne should come along for a drink.
