A blustery day, I did some shopping for Bet in the morning and in the afternoon wrote letters. Marjorie Bruce came to see Mabel in the afternoon. After tea I went to see Mrs Park and heard on the news that the whole of the Naretes [?] Line was in our hands.
Nurse Murphy left today. Enid came over to dine. It was my birthday and I had lots of family letters and presents.
