Sheepcote
A very cold morning, felt almost like snow. The children and I left on the 1.40 bus to Halstead where we just missed the our connection to Colchester, so I had to ring up Bet and ask her to meet the children by a later bus. We had a longish wait at Colchester, but got refreshment at the milk bar.
I only got back to Halstead at 6 o'clock, when the last bus for Hedingham was gone, so I started to walk home but I felt terribly tired and was thankful beyond words to be able to cadge a lift from an unknown driver as far as Christmas Fields.
Bet rang up to say that the children were enchanted with everything. I also had a ring up from Mabel.
