Sheepcote
A lovely day. The children's last at school. They are very excited. After tea Wilma read them from The Golden Years, and then they went out for a final play with the Wheelers. Soon after they went to bed the Alert went and, as there was a good deal of noise about, we brought all three down to the drawing room in rugs and eiderdowns.
The All Clear went soon after 10 o'clock and we were glad to be able to bundle them back to bed.
We rang up Bet and heard that all was all right with her.
