Sheepcote
A piping hot day. Very lovely but rather exhausting.
Mrs Kelks and Lady Rycroft, Alice Graham and twins all came in in relays after tea.
That was exhausting too.

Last night was very noisy. Bombs dropping and a lot of firing. We brought Sarah down into the drawing room, and Anne and nanny sat down there till all was quiet.

Chelmsford got it.
