Sheepcote

A lovely autumnal day.

Grattan went up by early train. I biked to Halstead and had my hair waved – got a birthday present for Philippa and did some chores. Rested in the afternoon.

After tea picked beans and collected kindling with the help of Mabel.

Ursula has sent a pair of faded cutonne [?] curtains for Anne’s flat (quite pretty).

Rang up Bet in the evening – all well there.
