Mabel came to lunch and stayed to tea, and afterwards we went to Regent's Park and sat by the water and looked at the pink cherries.

No news of Ellen Hickey!
I lunched with Reg and Joan at the Cumberland Hotel à la fourchette! Joan had seen the Austrian doctor and it was arranged not to start the asthma treatment at present as she is so much better. We went on to Gorringe about her school clothes. Bet rang up tonight. All well there.
Saturday, 23 April
Sarah's sixth birthday. She is to go into hospital tomorrow for tonsils and adenoids. Enid went off to Devonshire.
