Awly came on from the Poly and spent the evening here. She looked very pretty in a bright green jacket which she had made out of a green dressing gown.
I rang up Bet. Barnaby is much better and she had had a cheerful message from Pont at Woodside. They think they have sold the farm with possession at Lady Day.

A prospective lodger from the W.O. (a Miss Clifford) came to see my rooms this evening. I liked her and I think she means to take the rooms, but she will let me know for certain on Monday. She is a friend of Diana Ross - Mabel's nice new lodger, who came out with her.
