Reg slept here

Reg and I went to the Duke of York's (front row stalls) to see Point of Departure. An outstanding play, with outstanding acting. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously, and we sat up late discussing it.

Reg slept here

Awly came on from her work at the Poly and after tea we all went to the Edgware Rd Odeon to see All About Eve. Very greatly praised but not my film. Awly came back to supper. Rang up Bet and arranged that Awly should meet Alice at Liverpool St station tomorrow and bring her here for lunch.

Reg slept here

Reg went off for another walk in Epping Forest. Awly and Alice got here about 12.30 and Susan Fane joined us for lunch before leaving for the Hagedorns. We were a very cheerful four. Afterwards we all went to see Alice off at Paddington. She looks very delicate. Awly came back, and after my rest we had a very nice intimate talk over tea.
