A lovely summer day, but I have felt rather a "wretched shape" though I woke less exhausted. Pont turned up unexpectedly to lunch. Very exciting news: the two families are purchasing a house near Stowmarket!
After summer, I rang up Anne - Sarah has got measles but her temp. is lower tonight. Cosh has sent Anne £50.

Awly came to tea and afterwards cut the lawn whilst I did some forking. Hester did not turn up till about 7 o'clock. She was looking very pretty. Awly seemed off colour and very unresponsive. We rang up Troughend. Sarah is better.
