Awly and Alice slept here
Bet and Alice arrived for lunch. Afterwards Bet went off for a hair do and Alice amused herself whilst I rested. Awly arrived for tea, Bet not till nearly 7, as she had met Hester for a talk. She left after supper to catch the 8.45 train back to Walton.
Pippa rang up at 9.30, just back from the W Indies.
Friday, 27 April
After lunch Alice and I went to Selfridges and later on Awly turned up to tea and took Alice over to Hester's who is going to look after her till she returns to school on Sunday.
Rang up Anne. She has a horrid cough but says it is better.
