Alice arrived at 12 o'clock in a taxi from Liverpool St. After refreshments she read Enid Blyton till lunchtime, and afterwards I saw her off from Paddington for school. Then on to Oxford St looking for a jersey for Anne's birthday.
Wednesday, 23 January
Went in this morning to collect my diamond pendant from the bank with a view to selling.
