Week of 29 October 1952

Thursday, 2 October

47 Hamilton Terrace

Awly slept here

Awly is going to an informal party at Dick Stokes' with James and is coming on here to sleep as she would be too late back at the hostel. Bet phoned me (still from Wales) and later I phoned to Hester at Ringshall.

Awly slept here

Awly went off to her work after breakfast and got back here about 6.30. We dined at 7.30 and Bet turned up about 9.30 looking in splendid form after her week's caravanning. She had supper and then revelled in a boiling bath.

Sunday, 5 October

When I was half way through supper, Awly and Jeremy Le M turned up. They had been to the Tate together and to a film. They cooked themselves the sausages which Bet had left behind and were very merry but I was too tired to appreciate it.
