Bitterly cold. High winds and heavy showers. Sarah and I had our elevenses at Selfridges where she bought a fine stamp album. I took her to Paddington to catch the 2.25 train.

Bet slept here
Went to Marylebone Free Library after lunch and then rested till Bet arrived soon after 5 o'clock. It was lovely having her all to myself and she gave me a splendid account of their walking tour including their visit to Winkenhurst.
