47 Hamilton Terrace
Bussed down to Kew with sandwiches and met Mab there at about 1 o'clock. The vistas of bluebells under the beech trees were superb. The cherry trees are almost past their prime. We had lemonade outside the cafeteria and then had to return as it started to rain and developed into a violent thunderstorm. I got back in time for tea. This is Wilma's birthday.

The Queen Returns
I went to Mabel's hotel where we watched the Queen's arrival at Westminster and Buckingham Palace. It was excellent and I greatly enjoyed it.
