St George's Hospital - Studley
Enid fetched me about 10 am and we taxied to the Hamilton and I rested in my room. Mab turned up soon, and later Wilma and Dickie. Wilma packed for me and we lunched together. Afterwards D drove us down to Studley and I went straight to bed - very tired. Later brought me the tremendous news that Bet and Johnny had arrived in England! They are stopping at the Hamilton.

Studley
40 to lunch downstairs, but I had mine in bed. Then went into the Bawtree's private sitting room. Bet, Hester and Monga arrived for tea. Just over a year since Bet left England. She was looking well and in good looks, but thin and very tired.
