Hester rang up. She is in town for the day tomorrow and sleeping at Eaton Square, but will come and have supper with me. Pippa rang up - well and cheerful. Finally Reg rang up. He had had a tooth out in Brighton under gas, and was none the worse.
Thursday, 29 June
Hester turned up about 7.30 and we had a lovely evening together. She left about 10.30. She is sleeping in Eaton Sq (Vivien's flat) and may possibly go with her to Noel Coward's party. She has been house-hunting today and seen one or two possibles. She goes back to Notley tomorrow to prepare for Monga's birthday party on Saturday. She will be 5.
