Sheepcote
A very triste day of fog and rain but very mild. Bet went off by the 10 o'clock train, armed with measuring tape, note book, etc. to their future home at Great Wenham. She is to lunch with the Gerrards, the present occupiers.
Later
Bet returned by last train having had a very successful day and purchased poultry house, shutters and fuel. She travelled back from Marks Tey with Mrs Portvay [?] and we gave her supper before returning to her empty house.
