Monday, June 20 47 Hamilton Terrace I lunched with Carine Cadly at the Cowdray Club, Cavendish Square. Saturday, 25 June Lil slept here Pippa looked in for half an hour on her way to James and brought me eggs and lovely flowers. After lunch Lil and I went to the Westminster Theatre to see Black Chiffon with Flora Robson acting. Carine was there and had given us our stalls. We enjoyed it very much. Sunday, 26 June Pippa slept here Hottest day yet. I did not go to church but spent most of the morning with Lil out on the loggia. Mabel came over to lunch from St Martin’s and Lil took her back in her taxi on her way to catch the 3.10 train to Horsham. Pippa’s train was late and she did not get here much before 11 o’clock.
