Audrey Everett came to lunch and rested in the spare room till after 6 o'clock. Very nice and easy. Christa and I started off in pouring rain to Albert Hall but fortunately found a taxi at the bottom of Hall Rd.

We two plus Warwick Davies, Geraldine Noyes and Margot Osborne filled Alice Parson's box. A Beethoven-Brahms programme played by the Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Galliera.
