Hester rang me up on their way back to Ringshall and told me Dickie has got the job of farm manager to Larry at Thame, not far from Studley.

Tuesday, 21 July

Heard a very interesting lecture and conference from GH. It was the first time I had seen his new centre. Very attractive. After I got back anne rang up. I am to cope with both both Barnaby and Sarah on Friday.

Friday, 24 July

Barnaby turned up about 11.30 and after a very early lunch I took him to Liverpool St and put him into the train for Stowmarket. Picked up Sarah at the station and brought her back here, and after an early tea saw her off at Paddington on a week's visit to Studley
