My birthday
Slept beautifully with Soneryl and had a very happy birthday. Lovely flowers, letters and prezzies from the family. Pippa, Wilma and Hester all rang me up tonight.
Wednesday, 30 March
Dan appeared unexpectedly on his return from a month on the Riviera. Got home in time for tea. Afterwards took a walk which I enjoyed and finished up at the Church of Our Lady where Awly is to be married. Rang up Ringshall and found she had gone to bed very tired. After lunch arranged with Stockwell to move furniture for A's wedding for 30/-

James drove up Bet and Awly, arriving about 10 o'clock.
