Nicky got off at 8.30 for Victoria in her ski-ing kit. Letters from Tripoli and Pakistan. Pippa giving a very interesting account of Christmas travel plans.
Wednesday, 7 December
Wilma slept here
Wilma turned up for lunch laden with booty - chicken, Christmas pudding and cake, eggs, veg, flowers. After lunch we went by taxi to Peter Jones and then to Gorringe, but had no luck except for getting curtain material for Anne from Pippa. Wilma has a poisoned finger and went down to Cove-Smith who gave her ointment and tablets.
Thursday, 8 December
Wilma slept here
Wilma went off early and met Hester, and they chose her a very nice suit (my present) from John Lewis. Later met Awly and lunched at the Rice Bowl. Hester came back with Wilma for a hurried tea before going home. Geraldine came to supper (Wilma's chicken!) and afterwards they went to see The Boy Friend for which I had got them tickets. I have lent Hester my diamond brooch to wear at the premiere of Richard III.
