Week of 21 October 1957

Wednesday, 23 October
47 Hamilton Terrace
I had a busy and pleasant morning. After lunch I went over to say goodbye to Enid who is off to Devonshire tomorrow. We watched Dan on the ITV television for schools and I thought him very good. Came home after tea. Rang up Stella Young and got news of Patience in the London Hospital.
I felt very well today.
Sunday, 27 OctoberAlice went to church and was also very happy playing the piano reading etc. She caught the 3.45 train back to Lewes. I spent a pleasant afternoon on the sofa with the Sunday Times and the wireless.
