Very interesting news from Pippa. Oswald has definitely turned down the offer to renew his contract at Lawrence College and so they will be home for good by next September. Hurrah!

Wilma left by taxi at 9.30 to catch her train to Ramsgate. She is sleeping at Westacre tonight before starting for Germany tomorrow via Dover-Ostend. I walked to and from church and stayed for both services. Rested after lunch before going to tea with Mabel. Lil lunched with Roddy at the Berkeley. It seems to have been a wonderfully happy day for her.
