Bet and Pont slept here
Bet and I did most successful shopping in Edgware Rd and Oxford St this morning. Back for an early lunch with Pont. They then went to see his mother in hospital, and Bet went on to tea with Lil.
Wednesday, 9 December
Bet slept here
Short commons of sleep, and have felt positively Grimentz all day. Came down to lunch. Hester, Bet, Pont and me. Bet fetched the children from school and took them back to Clive Court.
Much telephoning this evening to Pippa, Alice and Awly.
Thursday, 10 December
Bet left by taxi at 7am for Paddington.
Hester is 27 today and I went to tea there. Larry had given her a credit order at Harrods to get a coat which she has done, but it had not yet arrived.
Friday, 11 December
Enid and Mab drove over for Mab's birthday party (though she is not 82 till tomorrow. Lovely lunch and presents afterwards, and Mab very pleased with everything.
Phoned Pips and Bet. All well there.
Sunday, 13 December
Muff has been ill so Hester cancelled her plans of going for the night to Notley.
